Standard Copywriting Agreement


Here is an agreement for the project we’ve discussed.

Copywriting Agreement

Upon receipt of payment, we will send you a PDF invoice showing the deposit is paid. Projects begins when we receive your payment, a copy of this e-mail with your “OK”, receipt of any background materials, and completion of client briefing.

Once you pay the fee in full, you own the copyright and all other rights to the copy Mihael has written for you.

You do not own and may not use the copy until the fee is fully paid.

Mihael will deliver a first draft in approximately 2 days to 4 weeks (depending on the project) from receipt of deposit, barring unforeseen illness or accident.


All revisions are included at no extra charge unless they are based on a change in the assignment made after the copy is submitted.

All revisions must be assigned within 30 days of your receipt of the first draft of copy. After that, additional rewrite may be made at a fee to be negotiated separately from this agreement.

We make our best attempt to be available to make revisions. Mihael can turn around minor revisions in 1-2 business days. Major revisions may take longer.


As your freelance copywriter, Mihael Čačič is responsible for:

  • Requesting all the information he needs to write your promotion.
  • Write the strongest copy possible.
  • Making any revisions you ask for within the terms of the copywriting agreement.
  • Always telling you the absolute truth about any of your ideas, edits, or plans – even if it’s something you may not want to hear and could even possibly upset you.
  • Keeping the client’s project confidential.

As the client, you are responsible for.

  • Providing Mihael with the information about your product, offer, and market he requests for the writing of your copy.
  • Being specific as possible about any edits, revisions, or changes you want Mihael to make to his copy draft.


If either party puts the project on hold or does not wish to continue once Mihael has begun work, a kill fee may be applied. Background material sent to Mihael Čačič in preparation for copywriting assignments is not returned to the sender unless specific arrangements have been made in writing prior to the project.

Although you are not required to do so, Mihael strongly recommends that you send him copy in layout before using, so he can review it, make sure the elements are positoned correctly, and make sure all revisions work effectively.

Also, although Mihael makes every effort to make your copy comply with the law, he is not an attorney.

Therefore, it is your responsibility to submit all copy for legal review.


There are many factors in your marketing – product, market, price, list, demand, consumer preferences, competition, major events – that Mihael cannot control. Therefore, he does not promise and cannot gurantee specific results.
